About Joan Reese
At age twenty-four I moved from Philadelphia to New York City to attend the School of Visual Arts. After receiving my BFA, I worked as a freelance artist for several years before becoming a teacher for twenty years. Now is the most creative time of my life. I love working in contrasting mediums: watercolors, acrylics, collages, photography, digital art, and more. This reminds me of an image one would find in a thick volume of some elaborate storybook. Beautiful! The way the colors of the door are incportated into the rest of the image is very nice.
